HADRAMOUT: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) concluded a campaign in Al-Mukalla during which medical teams performed 133 open-heart surgeries and cardiac catheterizations.
It was the fourth round of a volunteer program aimed at providing health services to needy people.
The program not only covers medical procedures but it also ensures provision of necessary care after surgery.
The center is carrying out several projects in different parts of the world. On Sunday, KSRelief distributed 1,100 cartons of dates among the needy people in the Somali capital Mogadishu. It is part of the center’s project to distribute 300 tons of dates among needy people and refugees in Somalia.
The center distributed 1,367 winter bags and other relief items among the needy in different areas of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Since it was founded in May 2015, KSRelief has implemented 1,329 projects in 53 countries, worth more than $4.42 billion. The countries that have benefited most from its work are Yemen ($3 billion), Palestine ($360 million), Syria ($296 million), and Somalia ($192 million).
